Arsenal defeated Everton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium with center-backs Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhaes scoring either side of half-time.

Arsenal defeated Everton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium with goals from center-backs Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhaes either side of half-time.

The defending Premier League champions won their 11th match out of 13 games played in the current campaign. Everton suffered their second consecutive defeat after losing 2-0 to Chelsea the previous weekend.

Everton manager David Moyes was without Jarrad Branthwaite and Jack Grealish for the match. The Blues failed to create enough opportunities against Arsenal, similar to their performance against Chelsea.

Everton had entered the match on the back of an eight-match unbeaten run in all competitions before the Chelsea defeat. Arsenal are also scheduled to face League Two side Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Tuesday at 8 pm, with the match broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event.
