The new models will feature thinner bezels, a Dynamic Island instead of a notch, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, and a lighter and slightly thinner design. The invitation's tagline confirms the models will keep MacBook Pro branding instead of the once-rumored MacBook Ultra name.

Apple today updated its entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip through a press release. The base model features three Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, HDMI, MagSafe 3, an SDXC card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The entry-level MacBook Pro received minimal changes from last year's M5 update, including the same design, port layout, webcam, and speakers. The most notable updates aside from the M6 processor are faster storage and the option to upgrade capacity to 4TB for an extra $1,200.
