Starbucks announced it will release a collection of Bearista cup characters available at locations on November 19. The cups will come inside surprise boxes that contain a random Bearista cup character, with customers not knowing which one they will receive until opening the box.
The surprise boxes are part of the blind box trend, where customers pay for boxes containing random collectible items. The trend gained popularity through retailer Pop Mart and has since been adopted by other brands including Aldi.
The original Bearista glass cold cup will also be available at select locations on December 1 while supplies last. Starbucks will release a Holiday Bearista collection featuring drinkware, a plush keychain and accessories, with timing to be announced later.
Starbucks first offered Bearista cups during the 2025 holiday season as a bear-shaped glass cup with a green beanie top. The cups became so popular that customers waited in long lines, resold them on sites like eBay and Mercari for up to $50,000, and some customers got into fights over them. The 20-ounce cups were originally priced around $30 at Starbucks locations.
