Steam confirms 2 free-to-keep games for October 2026

Steam has confirmed two new free-to-keep games for October 2026: Asleep: Act 1 and Hexologic. Players can permanently add both games to their accounts without purchasing them.

The two games offer different experiences, with Asleep: Act 1 focusing on psychological horror and Hexologic providing a relaxing puzzle experience. Unlike Steam's Free Weekend Promotions, these games remain in player libraries permanently after the promotion ends.

The exact release date for when these games will become free has not been announced. Players should check the games' Steam pages daily to ensure they claim them during the promotion period.

October has featured multiple promotions on Steam, with Halloween approaching and horror-themed releases receiving attention. The platform regularly features promotions and discounts, but free-to-keep offers are particularly appealing to PC gamers looking to expand their libraries.
