IShowSpeed hides in New York for $250,000 prize hunt
The streamer will hide somewhere in New York for three hours while fans track him down using coordinates released during a livestream.
IShowSpeed is hiding somewhere in New York on Wednesday for three hours, with the first fan to find him winning $250,000. The hunt runs from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM local time and will be fully livestreamed.
Coordinates will be released step by step during the stream to narrow down his location. Five people in disguise will walk around the city carrying two additional coordinate digits each to help fans track him faster.
The first participant to reach his hiding spot and meet the conditions wins the prize. Those not in New York can follow the entire hunt via livestream on the Million-Dollar Mission website.
The stunt is the finale of a nine-week contest Speed launched in August with grooming brand Dr. Squatch, featuring $1 million in total prize money. The campaign included 25 challenges across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, where participants hunted hidden suitcases, solved puzzles and competed via social media.
Speed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., has around 184 million followers across his platforms and ranked eighth on Forbes' list of highest-earning creators this year. He recently bought an $11 million warehouse in Miami for his own content studio to follow in MrBeast's footsteps.
