Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 reveals Season 1 maps and content

The free Season 1 update arrives November 6 with three new multiplayer maps and a new DMZ map.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 arrives November 6 as a free update for all players. Activision released a two-minute teaser trailer revealing the new content.

The update adds three new multiplayer maps: Canyon, Shoot House, and Backstab. Shoot House previously appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Modern Warfare 2 in 2022.

Backstab appears to be a reimagining of the Call of Duty 2 map Burgundy, though Activision and Infinity Ward have not officially confirmed this.

The update also introduces XO1, a new map for Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode. XO1 is smaller than the default Hajin map and features a claustrophobic interior layout designed for more PvP-focused gameplay.
