Starbucks viral Bearista cup returns to Canada on Nov. 10 as mystery box

Starbucks viral Bearista cups are returning to Canada for the holidays on Nov. 10 in the form of a mystery box. The original Bearista Glass Cold Cup will also return to select stores on Dec. 1.

The initial release of the refillable cups sparked a frenzy among customers. Some lined up overnight and brawls ensued in-store. Listings on eBay currently reach upwards of $70,000 Canadian.

The cups launched along with last year's holiday menu and quickly sold out. People in Ontario lined up early at Starbucks stores, including at 75 Billy Bishop Way in Toronto, where staff said the cups sold out fast.

The Nov. 10 mystery box release gives collectors another opportunity to get the trendy cup. The Dec. 1 release of the original design offers a second chance for those who missed the initial launch.
