Rockstar's upcoming open-world game requires 210 GB of storage on PS5 consoles, with preloads beginning November 12, 2026.
GTA 6 requires 210 GB of storage on PlayStation 5 consoles, according to the X account PlayStation Game Size. The file size applies to both PS5 and PS5 Pro models.
Preloading begins November 12, 2026 at local midnight for digital pre-orders and physical code-in-box editions on PlayStation Store and Xbox Series X/S. The game launches November 19, 2026 at midnight for all regions, priced at $79.99.
Rockstar has not revealed the download size for Xbox Series X/S consoles, but it is expected to exceed 200 GB. Previous rumors suggested the game could require up to 300 GB, making the confirmed 210 GB size smaller than some fans anticipated.
Preloading only downloads encrypted installation files and does not grant early gameplay before the official November 19 launch. Rockstar has already sent review codes to content creators and critics, with the review embargo lifting November 18, 2026.
