Bleach has ended after 22 years with the finale of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. The 50th and final episode aired on Disney+ on October 27, 2026, closing the fourth and final chapter titled The Calamity.

The anime followed Part 1: The Blood Warfare in 2022, Part 2: The Separation in 2023 and Part 3: The Conflict in 2024. The ending was changed from the source material with help from creator Tite Kubo after fans were divided by the original conclusion.

The Bleach official social media accounts released two special ending videos to mark the conclusion. The first video showed central character Ichigo Kurosaki running through all story arcs from the manga, including the Substitute, Soul Society, Arrancar, Lost Agent and Blood Warfare arcs.

The second video was a four-and-a-half-minute tribute crediting everyone who worked on the show, from voice actors to illustrators. The original Bleach anime launched in 2004 and ran until 2012 before ending without catching up to the manga. Fans waited 10 years for the series to return with the Thousand-Year Blood War adaptation.

The Bleach manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 and concluded with 74 volumes. The manga has exceeded 130 million copies in circulation worldwide.
