McDonald's fans are declaring the McGriddle the best fast food breakfast sandwich over the classic Egg McMuffin. The sandwich features a sausage patty between two miniature pancakes dotted with maple syrup.

Reddit users praised the sandwich in multiple threads. One commenter called it the best fast food breakfast sandwich while another said it is the only breakfast sandwich they truly enjoy eating.

McDonald's offers variations including the Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddle and Bacon, Egg & Cheese McGriddle. These versions use a folded scrambled-style egg instead of the round egg found in the McMuffin.

Some fans recommend ordering the McGriddle with a round McMuffin-style egg instead of the folded egg. However, not all customers agree with this customization, with one Reddit user saying the McMuffin egg is consistently gross with a hard-boiled yolk.

McDonald's stock closed at $250.50, up $1.03 or 0.41 percent from the previous close. The stock rose an additional $0.83 in after-hours trading.
