YouTuber folds iPhone Duo 10,000 times to test durability

The device showed a more visible screen crease after 11,000 folds but the hinge remained smooth throughout testing.

YouTuber Tim Pan ran an iPhone Duo through 10,000 folds on a dedicated folding machine at room temperature, then added 1,000 more folds at approximately -20ยฐC. The test aimed to show what the foldable phone looks like after extended real-world use.

The crease on the iPhone Duo's 7.6-inch internal display became more pronounced after the full test sequence. No precise measurements of crease depth or width were reported, so there is no quantitative baseline to reference.

The hinge remained smooth throughout all 11,000 folds, including the 1,000 cycles performed at -20ยฐC. This points to different durability characteristics between the display and hinge components.

The matte finish on the internal display reduces glare and softens how visible the crease appears at typical viewing angles during ordinary use. That advantage does not disappear after 10,000 folds, but it does not stop the crease from becoming more visible.
