Fortnite fans fall for wiki edit claiming Freddy Fazbear can wield Thor's hammer
A viral screenshot from Fandom's Fortnite Wiki falsely listed the Five Nights at Freddy's character as worthy of wielding Mjolnir alongside Marvel heroes.
Fortnite fans were fooled by a wiki edit that claimed Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy's can wield Mjolnir in the game. A screenshot from Fandom's Fortnite Wiki page for Worthy Outfits went viral showing the animatronic bear listed alongside Marvel characters.
Fortnite includes a lore detail where only characters deemed worthy in Marvel canon can equip Mjolnir as a pickaxe. Only five skins out of thousands in the game can use the hammer, including three versions of Thor, Moon Knight and Captain America.
No new characters have been added to the worthy list since Moon Knight's skin was added in 2022. The Freddy Fazbear entry appeared on the wiki's Worthy Outfits page, leading some fans to believe Epic Games had officially made the Five Nights at Freddy's character worthy of wielding Thor's hammer.
The listing remains inaccurate as Freddy Fazbear cannot actually equip Mjolnir in Fortnite. Marvel maintains strict control over which characters can lift the hammer across comics, movies and games.
