Aspyr Media announced Shrek 2 Remastered during the October 2026 ID@Xbox showcase. The game releases on Xbox Series X/S on November 10, 2026.

The remastered version recreates the cult classic tie-in game from the original Xbox era. The reveal trailer shows upgraded graphics and new features for the co-op game.

Players can play as Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Gingy and other characters from DreamWorks' fairytale sequel. The trailer showcases classic moments from the film that have been updated for modern consoles.

The announcement comes less than a month before the game's release. The reveal trailer parodies the recent GTA 6 marketing campaign.
