The brothers, known as Siameses del Ecuador with over 60,000 Instagram followers, died on October 15 while receiving treatment in Colombia.
Conjoined twin influencers José Luis and José Armando Cevallos have died at 27 after José Luis suffered cardiac arrest and his brother suffered a heart attack shortly afterward. The brothers died on October 15, 2026, while receiving medical treatment in Colombia.
Known online as the Siameses del Ecuador, the pair had amassed over 60,000 Instagram followers by documenting their daily lives, answering questions about being conjoined twins, and sharing their experiences with fans. The brothers had been receiving treatment in Colombia to improve their mobility, with the goal of eventually being able to walk independently.
Close friend Fernando Carrillo told Spanish television program Y Ahora Sonsoles that José Luis initially began feeling unwell and experienced nausea. Those around him initially suspected a virus, but the brothers were taken to a hospital where José Luis suffered cardiac arrest. Doctors managed to stabilize him, but José Armando suffered a heart attack shortly afterward, resulting in both brothers' deaths.
The twins were born joined at the torso and shared organs, including their liver and intestines. Although separation surgery was considered, doctors reportedly determined that the procedure would be too dangerous. Their social media team announced their deaths on Instagram, stating their joy, their story, and the love they sowed will remain in our hearts forever. The team added that the brothers had been happy pursuing their goals and requested privacy for their grieving family.
