Apple fans consider canceling iPhone Duo pre-orders over assembly gaps

Apple fans are considering canceling their iPhone Duo pre-orders after reports of assembly issues emerged. Some units show gaps around the sides or hinge that are large enough to see the phone's internals.
The issue, being called Gapgate, follows the earlier Crackgate problem where inner displays cracked. The gaps can affect the phone's IP68 rating and potentially cause stress on the chassis and internal components.
Some cases appear milder than others, but even smaller gaps show the phone's chassis is misaligned. The spine of the phone also has a gap that could allow dust and debris to enter the body.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro Max received positive reviews for its A20 Pro chip and improved Siri through Apple Intelligence updates. The phone is nearly identical to last year's model with tweaks under the hood.
