The FINALS adds dynamic commentary that says player names out loud

The FINALS Season 12 adds a feature called Dynamic Commentary that uses AI to read player names out loud during matches. The in-game announcer now says player names when they perform significant or impactful actions.

The feature is currently in beta. Players who don't want their names read can switch to Anonymous mode, which keeps their actions more general to their team.

The game maintains a stable player base with 20,000 peak daily players on Steam, plus additional players on PlayStation and Xbox. Embark Studios previously received criticism for using text-to-speech AI for announcers and voice roles.

The announcer character Scotty delivers the personalized commentary. Players can see the feature in action through clips shared by the game's official channels.
