The Elder Scrolls 6 subtitle reportedly being revealed next month
Bethesda Game Studios has been showing gameplay internally in recent months according to sources.
The Elder Scrolls 6 will reportedly be titled The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel, with the official name reveal coming as soon as next month according to The Verge. The announcement would come 15 years after The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was released and nearly eight years after the game was announced at E3 2018.
Bethesda Game Studios has been showcasing gameplay from The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel internally in recent months, including a live playthrough viewed by Xbox CEO Asha Sharma. The reported title matches fan theories that circulated earlier this year, including speculation based on Sharma's August tweet that the title contained eight letters.
The Verge reports that rumors of a return to Hammerfell as the main setting are true. Hammerfell has appeared in The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard, and The Elder Scrolls Online, but has never had its own mainline game.
Only the game's official title will reportedly be revealed next month, with no additional information beyond that. The timing would put the announcement close to GTA 6's November 19 release date.
