Kai Cenat and Ray return to Japan on October 21 to recreate their first meeting

The streamers will revisit the Tokyo 7-Eleven where they first met in 2023.

Kai Cenat announced he will return to Japan on October 21 with Ray, the Taiwanese streamer he first met in Tokyo in 2023. He revealed the trip with a two-minute trailer posted on Kai Cenat Live on Sunday.

The trailer recreated their original meeting at a Tokyo 7-Eleven. Ray was on a school trip in Japan in summer 2023 when he learned Cenat was streaming nearby. He followed clues from the broadcast to find him and asked for a photo while Cenat was live.

Ray told GQ Taiwan last year he only wanted a picture and feared he might never get another chance to meet Cenat. The encounter helped Ray gain international attention and the two became friends.

Fans noticed the recreation included the same convenience store location from their first meeting. The scheduled stream is titled "RETURNING TO JAPAN W/ RAY."
