Walmart canceled Legend of Zelda Switch 2 console pre-orders a day before the October 30 release date and is giving affected customers 48 hours to secure a new reservation.
Walmart canceled Legend of Zelda Switch 2 console pre-orders a day before the consoles were scheduled to arrive on October 30. Customers who pre-ordered the limited edition console nearly two months earlier received emails stating the console was out of stock.
The retailer is now calling the cancellations an error and giving affected customers 48 hours to reorder. Customers should check their email and cart for an item called Exclusive Reservation to secure their console.
Walmart is also sending a $519 eGift card to affected customers, matching the original console price. Customers can use the gift card for any purchase at Walmart.
The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary Switch 2 consoles released on October 30, with the Ocarina of Time remake launching on the system on November 5.
