Pokemon teams up with Fender for 30th anniversary guitars
Pokemon and Fender have released Red and Green-themed guitars as part of the franchise's 30th anniversary celebration.
Pokemon has teamed up with guitar manufacturer Fender to release a pair of Red and Green-themed guitars for the franchise's 30th anniversary. The guitars are part of a wider celebration of the monster-catching series reaching 30 years.
The anniversary has brought a variety of special products across the Pokemon franchise. Pokemon launched an exclusive apparel line at Target, a Game Boy music player featuring classic tracks, and Pokemon-branded Goldfish and Pop-Tarts.
The Pokemon Trading Card Game released the 30th Celebration expansion in September with reprints of iconic cards from the game's history. Pokemon GO has also run multiple events centered around the anniversary.
The 30th Anniversary Ultra Premium Collection for the Trading Card Game has generated significant attention before its official release. Early shipments show the product contains 30 packs, including one with cards from the Classic Collection featuring reprints of Charizard and Lugia.
The Ultra Premium Collection includes Espeon and Umbreon special illustration cards and exclusive Future Rare Pikachu cards. Resale prices for the product have already increased as early shipments reach the market.
