Minecraft achieved record revenue and engagement during Microsoft's Q1 FY27, CEO Satya Nadella announced during the company's investor conference call on October 28, 2026.

The milestone marks all-time highs for both metrics in the same quarter. Xbox content and services, which includes Minecraft's revenue, was part of Microsoft's Devices and Consumer section that posted $15.5 billion in revenue for the quarter.

Xbox content and services overall declined 2 percent year-over-year during the period. Nadella stated Microsoft remains focused on building games and reaching players across console, PC, mobile, and cloud platforms.

The record performance comes 17 years after Minecraft's original release. The franchise has since changed ownership and studio names while expanding into spinoff projects including Minecraft Dungeons 2.
